What is a differences between CadLib 2 Professional Edition and CadLib 2 Standart Edition. I can not find any differences on the pages https://secure.shareit.com/shareit/product.html?productid=300072235&sessionid=684978339&random=2b4cd1dfb6e76578ea8e604694b4fb80 and https://secure.shareit.com/shareit/product.html?sessionid=684977514&random=c31b1d13da2c727058f2c81b38ec097b&productid=300148571

And is there a support for pick engine for mouse selection and OpenGL surface rendering in CadLib 2 Professional Edition?

Hi,

The differences in features are shown here: http://www.woutware.com/cadlib2/editions.html1.

The pick engine is supported in the professional edition, and works independently of the rendering. As long as the transformation matrices correspond, it will work. Constructing the right matrix is the tricky part and is challenging for the unexperienced in the field. There is an example that shows it for GDI rendering, for OpenGL rendering it needs a minor adjustment.

Thanks,

Wout

Thanks for quick answer. Can you show me differences (in example if you can of course) between GDI rendering transformation matrices for pick selection and OpenGL transformation matrices for pick selection. it is very important for me.

Thanks

Hi,

First play with the extended view example that comes with CadLib to get a better understanding of how the mechanism works. The only difference with OpenGL is the final viewport transformation, like I explained in the answers to your previous post. Construct the totalTransform as shown, and pass it to the EntitySelector class.
