Text primitive

Hi,
Is it possible to get the primitives from TEXT, MTEXT DXF object. I need the single line text. Now GraphicsPath returns a contour, but not single line. AutoCAD can produce a single line text.
I implemented the BaseGraphicsFactory, and overrided CreatePath() and so forth. But when I load DXF with TEXT object, I can't get into these functions.
If it is possible, please provide an example or hint!

Thanks.

Hi Alexy,

What do you mean by primitive? I don't understand yet what you try to achieve.

If you use true type fonts like e.g. arial, you typically get these filled contours. Shx fonts are fonts that consist of line segments and arcs.

Kind regards,

I would like to get primitives (u are right): lines,... but I need single line text. See piture.

Hi Alexy,

Yup, then you need to use the right font! E.g. txt.shx is such a font. You need to download the font from somewhere, or use the ones that come with VoloView. I can't think of another option currently...

Kind regards,

Thanks, I found a single stroke font (Stick40). Graphics path object returns only single line contour!

Great, didn't know that font yet.

Thanks,
